January 25, 2018 – This past week Chance Galloway and I from Team Balkans attended a conference on Church Planting. It was great to see that what we are doing with our current church planting programs are in line with what the experts are saying. We praise God for how He is working in and through our church planters. Continue to pray for our current 10 Church plants – If you would like to help with the monthly expenses of this click here)
While at the conference I received word that my father-in-law Ed Stevens suffered a massive stroke. As it stands now he has been taken to Hospice and is not expected to make it through the weekend. Ed is 85 years old and has lived a good, Godly life! He was an example to all of us who knew and loved him very much. He will be missed but we know he is in a better place with his Lord and Saviour.
With that known, here are our plans. We will be returning to the states on or around February 1st – the tenative funeral will be later in early February in Tallahassee and we will return to Bulgaria on or around February 20th.
(Our oldest son and new bride went over Christmas to visit Ed & Pat Stevens as they were unable to attend their wedding in August – we are so glad Zendra got to meet Ed before his passing)
Continue to keep us and Diane’s family in your prayers. We have felt your prayers immediately after the word went out as many responded to the Facebook posts. It is times like these that you understand more fully the impact of the family of God! Thank you all!
